Faith Mussa celebrates a virtuous woman in new song

When musician Lawi penned a song celebrating the character of a virtuous woman, he had one singer in mind that would excellently deliver it—Faith Mussa.

In that regard, Lawi gave the song, Mkazi wa Ngwiro, to Mussa as a gift.

“I then modified it and released the first version. But that song simply celebrated a virtuous woman but didn’t hear her,” said Mussa in an interview yesterday referring to a woman voice in the track.

So, to bring in the voice of the woman, Mussa roped in rapper Luki and Esther Chitheka-Lewis, to complete the song and released it as a remix.

Mussa admitted that celebrating a God-fearing woman is something he loves to do, following the release of another song Mkazi Wakumwamba which he did with gospel rapper Suffix.

Mussa: I really love appreciating good women whose character is noble

“I guess you can say I really love appreciating good women whose character is noble,” he said.

In a separate interview, Chitheka-Lewis said it was great experience for her to work with Mussa once again.

“It has been a humbling experience. It was simply amazing,” she said.

Chitheka-Lewis disclosed that, as a solo artist, she is planning to release her debut extended playlist soon.

“I hope Malawi is ready for me,” she said.

Commenting on Chitheka-Lewis, Mussa said the up-and-coming musician is an amazing artist.

“I think we have a future in her. One other thing is her ability to play very well both vocals and guitar,” he said.

Mkazi wa Ngwiro talks about a God-fearing woman who does everything for her family to make sure that everyone is well taken care of.

“Mkazi wa ngwiro angampose ndani?

Kukongola kwake kwa original

Kungazizile amadzuka m’mamawa

Ndikusamalira banja lake

Mkazi wa ngwiro angam’pose ndani?” goes the song in part.
