“They are two goals down and they will do everything possible to frustrate us and this time, we are expecting the worst, but we have put measures in place to encounter them,” said Football Association of Malawi (FAM) president Walter Nyamilandu.

He said, among other measures, the travelling party includes necessary officials such as the association’s accountant Christopher Mdolo and technical director John Kaputa.

Apparently, soon after the first leg, Flames captain Moses Chavula, who made both trips to Chad said: “It is always tough playing in Chad because they set out on mind games just to put you off. The last time, their fans even threw missiles, some of which injured Atusaye Nyondo in the head.”

The Flames are expected to arrive in Chad at 11.40am today after spending a night in Ethiopia en route from Tanzania where they played a strength-testing match on Tuesday evening.
