Food House: home of pizza
A few metres away from Kapenga Bus Stop in Limbe, a new eatery specialised in pizza has opened its doors. The place is called Food House, situated near Lonrho House opposite Pep Stores.
The pizza at Food House is not ordinary: It is prepared on a wooden stove which uses firewood and was specially made for the preparation of the pizza. In fact, Food House is one of the few places in Blantyre that serves Italian Pizza.
For just K2 700, one can enjoy chicken, chicken mushroom, olives and Romana pizza and for K3 500 one can have the sumptuous piccante and magaritta pizzas.
Despite being just a year in operation, the place has proven to be one of the best eating spots in Limbe. Apart from the pizza, Food House provides classic foods such as gulab james, sponge cakes, chocolate cakes, prawns, chicken, chips, rice, spaghetti, nsima, eggs, beef and a wide range of starters.
The place has brought fun to children as it has a jumping castle where they can have fun while taking their cup or corn of ice cream.
Says Food House owner Hallima Khan: “This place is different from any other in Blantyre. We have a secret recipe that is the reason we will stand out from any other eating place. Our excellent and experienced workers will also definitely bring a difference in your lives.”
It is not just the meals served at this restaurant that attract people from all walks of life: The vegetation, the big, secure and safe car park and the beautiful relaxing cool breeze also play a part in making Food House a unique place to be.
