Global Refrigeration simplifies ventilation jargons

In an interview with The Nation on Sunday, Global sales and service director, Faizal Ahmed, said the company was established in 1985, but was established in Malawi some 11 years ago to respond to the demand for affordable domestic, commercial and industrial refrigeration and air-conditioning services.

Ahmed said since then, Global Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Services has been providing a comprehensive range of services to countless customers in the country.

“These include performance surveys, conceptual and detailed design, supply, installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems,” he explained.

He disclosed that Global is a certified and authorised dealer of world brands such as York, McQuay, Chigo, Samsung, Panaso, Nic, Gree, Media and Panasonic.

“On spares, we stock well-known brands such as Bristol, Frascold, Cubigel, Danfoss, Maneurop, ESK, among others. This company was formed to satisfy the needs of the marketplace for a specialist company to provide a quality fit-for-purpose air-conditioning and ventilation services at reasonable cost,” said Ahmed.

He added that as an independent company, Global is ready to offer impartial advice on all aspects of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration system requirements and recommend the right equipment for manufacturers.

He boasted that Global has a team of specialists with invaluable expertise in the industry.

Besides these services, the company has been providing apprenticeship and facilitating enrolment of students with government accredited colleges through the Technical Entrepreneurship Vocational and Training Authority (Teveta).

Global Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Services also provides support to 10 needy students every year.

“Our company understands the need for students to get government accredited qualifications through institutions such as Teveta. That’s why we’ve been providing financial and material support to needy students to realise the much-needed skilled workforce for development,” explained Ahmed.

The company, which has its offices in Limbe off Temple Road opposite Indian Sports Club, is fully approved by the Office of the Director of Public Procurement (ODPP) and the National Construction Industry Council of Malawi (NCIC).

It has a branch in Lilongwe located within Accord House.
