Inter-schools French Drama Competition Saturday

Regional finals of the 26th edition of Inter-schools French Drama Competition will take place this Saturday in Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu. Thirty secondary schools have confirmed participation during the event.

According to the coordinator of the competition, Poya Chapweteka, the contest follows training which took place from October 7 to 13 2013 at Jacaranda Foundation in Blantyre where 15 teachers from across the country were in attendance.

National finals are scheduled to take place on November 23 2013 at Stella Maris Secondary School in Blantyre.

The competition will also see the best play, best actor, best actress, best supporting actor, best supporting actress and best French speaker walking away with bicycles, backpacks and books.

In addition, the patron of the winning play will travel to French Alliance in Lusaka for training to gain more skills in French.

This year’s competition comes under the theme ‘French and my Life’.
