Kabula stun BNC with three-goal SRFL blitz

BNC Produsak squandered a 2-0 first-half lead to lose 3-2 to battling Kabula United, formerly Escom United, at the BAT ground on Sunday afternoon.

In this Southern Region Football League (SRFL) self-sponsored Premier Division encounter, Thango Chauma-coached BNC started promisingly.

Chiyambi Kangola and Precious Kusanyali scored as United looked rattled and jaded. And their coach, Shadreck Mpesi, only remnant for Escom coaching panel, delivered a stern half-time pep-talk.

Come the second-half, Mpesi’s instruction for more attacks paid dividends as exciting right winger Amos Chirwa curled a corner kick straight into the net, eluding unsuspecting goalkeeper Joseph Mnyanga. Chirwa added the second from the penalty spot a few minutes later.

Sean Kazembe completed the come back to ensure the perfect start to the season for Kabula who on Saturday thrashed Nyasa United with Chingola among the scorers.

“Our chairperson Mr Fanuel Nkhono and the rest of executive are trying their best, but we have set top-eight finish as the target. It is difficult talking about Super League promotion in the absence of sponsorship,” said Mpesi.
