Uncertain for Sunday’s game as he is injured: Kanyenda (L)

Either striker Esau Kanyenda or defender Harry Nyirenda will be playing in the South Africa Premiership Soccer League (PSL) next season.

This is the case as Nyirenda’s Black Leopards edged Milano United 1-0 on Wednesday to date Kanyenda’s Polokwane City this Sunday in a winner-takes-all promotion/relegation decisive play-off.

Nyirenda did not play on Wednesday at Athlone Stadium where Rendani Ndou’s solitary goal proved enough.

Kanyenda is also uncertain for Sunday’s game as he is injured.

On Wednesday, the pressure was on Leopards to walk away with maximum points as they knew that anything less than a victory would have seen City preserve their top-flight status without having to step onto the field.

Leopards go to Gyani on Sunday needing to beat City to book their spot in the top-flight league of South African football.
