Karonga United eye Victor Nyirenda
TNM Super League tail-enders Karonga United are eyeing former Flames striker Victor Nyirenda to shore up their squad to escape relegation.
United general secretary Gospel Selemani confirmed beefing up the squad, but fell short of disclosing the players’ identities.
“I have currently signed three players, and plan to get three more, including Victor Nyirenda,” said Selemani in a brief e-mailed response.
Nyirenda returned recently from Vietnam where he spent two seasons after signing from APR of Rwanda.
United, placed bottom on 10 points from 17 games, are yet to win under new coach Abbas Makawa.
