Football Association of Malawi (FAM) executive committee is expected to meet on Saturday in Blantyre where, among other things, it will discuss Flames’ performance.

FAM chief executive officer Suzgo Nyirenda on Thursday said Flames coach Kinnah Phiri will submit a report on the performance of the team, including the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations exit and the way forward.

The Flames were booted out of the continental showpiece at the last hurdle by Ghana’s Black Stars on a 3-0 aggregate.

“This is a quarterly meeting and apart from getting a report from the national coach, the executive committee will also discuss and decide on other issues such as the request by Surestream Academy to buy out Surestream Stadium [formerly MDC Stadium] and the progress of the Puma replica jerseys sale.

“We will also submit a management accounts report and prepare the activities for the next quarter,” said Nyirenda.

The meeting will be chaired by the association’s president, Walter Nyamilandu.
