Magang’a beat Lox360 twice
Magang’a shocked national defending champions Lox360 with two victories during last weekend’s Southern Zone asketball League (Sozobal) play-offs for the 2013 National asketball Championships to be held on November 22.
Despite having the full squad that earned them the national title last year, Lox360 were unable to cope with the versatility of their opponents who whacked them 84-78 in the first leg at Blantyre Youth Centre (BYC) on Saturday and 90-73 at Chancellor College basketball court in Zomba on Sunday.
“We played better offensively only that luck was not on our side,” said Lox360 player Sebenzani Chidothi after their defeat on Sunday.
However, Lox360 are not completely out of contention for a slot in this year’s national finals as they could make it together with Magang’a and Bricks if they beat Cobbe Barracks this weekend to take the third place.
