Mchinji Boma Stars still top

Black Eagles beat hands down hosts Mchinji Boma Stars 2-0 on Saturday to slash their lead in the Chipiku Premier Division to one point.

Mchinji have 22 points from 17 games, one point ahead of Dwangwa United who drew 1-1 with Dowa United.

Dedza Young Soccer occupy third position having played 12 games, the latest being Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Namitete Young Rangers, to garner 21 points.

Fourth-placed Hard Knockers, who have 20 points from nine games, crushed Dowa 4-1. Support Battalion beat Mponela United 1-0 a day after drawing 2-2 with Saint Kaduya.

Battalion are placed fifth on 20 points from nine games followed by Kasungu Medicals’ 19 points earned from 3-0 defeating of Maumau United on Sunday.
