Mr Malawi pageant on the cards
Malawian hunks will compete for the first-ever Mr World Zambia title.
Miss Malawi organisers Artistic Agency who will be operating as Elegant Resources after a partnership, will hold the event which will see the lucky winner representing Malawi at the Mr World pageant.
“We started talking about Mr Malawi last year. We are working on the pageant so as to participate at Mr World pageantry to be held on dates to be communicated. While planning for it, we are also doing the same for the Miss Malawi.
“We are ready to kick it off as we have been having progressive meetings with the Department of Arts and Culture at the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Culture. We are yet to get feedback from the department any time. While waiting for that, we are working on sponsorship for the winners of Miss Malawi and Mr Malawi for them to have an effective running,” said Vitu Kamanga, last organiser of the Miss Malawi pageantry.
Commenting on Miss Malawi, Kamanga said all is set for the pageantry this year, which needs support from mainly government.
“It is a must for government to come in full force to support Miss Malawi office. Miss Malawi is not an office to be looked at lightly as it sells and promotes the culture and beauty of Malawi. Government must come in and play its support role,” he said.
