Malawi will have a chance of being featured in a Nollywood movie, courtesy of plans by film producer Andy Boyo has this summer.

The plans, according to Boyo, who has produced a hundred plus movies, encompasses other southern African countries such as Zambia and Zimbabwe as well as Rwanda and Tanzania in the east.

“My coming here for the premiere of the Off The Hook, was among others things, to foster relationship between Malawi’s budding film industry and that of Nigeria and Ghana.

“In so doing, we will merge the movie industry in central and southern Africa with the western part of the continent which continues to do good. Such initiative will help countries like Malawi to reach the stages that pacesetters have attained,” explained Boyo in an interview.

The movie will be shot in the said countries with actors and actresses from the same playing different roles.

“We will be in Malawi in August this year, and it will be a big project. It will be an epic movie which will also feature Ghanaian film stars like Jackie Appiah. All these nationalities will be fighting against each other in the movie,” said Boyo without divulging much information.
