Mighty Wanderers have suspended their key defender Tsanzo Dalio for two weeks due to indiscipline.

Team manager Kannock Munde confirmed that the technical panel decided to take a hardline on the defender after confirming reports that he was seen drinking at the team’s club house.

“We got reports that Tsanzo got drunk and we found his behaviour deplorable. We confronted him on the issue and he confessed.

“It’s not that we do not allow them to party, but it should be at an appropriate time and not a habit and no matter how good a player is, he has to abide by the team’s rules,” said Munde.

Dalio missed the midweek match against Red Lions which the Nomads lost 0-1 and he will also miss Sunday’s derby against arch-rivals Big Bullets.

The player could not be reached for comment.

When Gerald Phiri was named the team’s head coach recently, he warned that he would not tolerate any acts of indiscipline among the players.
