“Music is an inborn talent in our family. My late father was a musician and I believe that it is a hereditary talent, which I can’t run away from. He groomed me to what I am now,” said Lungu as ardently plucked on his box guitar.

The musician released his first album Kulira Kulira in 2010 dedicated to the soul of his father who died of cancer in 2008. The musician, however, bemoaned the fact that the album did not do well on the market due to poor planning.

“The sales were bad because I was attending to a number of issues pertaining to the death of my father; hence, it affected my concentration on the music. Having prepared myself well, I recorded my second last year, which is on the market,” he said.

Lungu released his second album Mzimu wa Agogo in November at Polyvibes Studios. The musician recalls the advice he used to get from his father and rolls them into his album.

“I am advising youths to adhere to advice by the elders. They are well versed with pros and cons of life; hence, we need to heed their counsel,” he added.

To promote the album, he has lined up a series of shows with Slashers Band.

“My fans have been pestering on me to conduct live shows and I have started talking to Slashers Band who have committed to help me with live shows,” said the artist.
