Piksy silently engaged
Musician Piksy, real name Evans Zangazanga, and his girlfriend Vitumbiko Pagaja secretly got engaged on Sunday night, few hours from the Afro rapper/singer’s 28th birthday.
The two got affianced at a ceremony that took place at the artist’s uncle’s residence at Mpingwe in Blantyre, witnessed by close family members from both sides.
Giving an exclusive interview yesterday morning, Piksy confirmed he was now engaged to his lover, but said he wanted to keep it private.
“Yes we got engaged, but wanted to keep it private that’s why the ceremony was attended by family members only,” said the Unamata and Maloto singer.
Though he did not want to say much on his engagement, the artist said “this is my greatest birthday gift ever! It feels great getting engaged to someone you truly love, so I’m excited and I’m not afraid of commitment.”
The two, who have dated for close to a year are said to be staying together now at Piksy’s residence in Chigumula. Before he started seeing Vitumbiko, the award-winning artist had dated former Model of the Year Gladys Kumbatira, they broke up in 2012.
