Sacco members donate equipment to QECH

As part of the Savings and Credit Cooperation (Sacco) celebrations held at Kamuzu Stadium upper ground in Blantyre last week, Sacco members donated 36 digital blood pressure machines and 34 blood glucose strips worth K800 000 (US$2 162) to Queen Elizabeth hospital (QECH).

Receiving the donation, QECH chief hospital administrator Themba Mhango thanked Sacco members for the donation.

“We at QECH are very honoured that Chapter One [Sacco] decided to consider us for this timely donation as part of the International day celebrations. As a referral hospital we have a lot of challenges and these cannot be addressed by government alone,” said Mhango.
