Silver Strikers FC are not sitting on their laurels waiting for the outcome of their appeal to Sulom. They have intensified training in the past two weeks.

The Bankers will face Mighty Wanderers in a replay of their last TNM Super League game on a date to be announced by Sulom. The game was abandoned because of violence.
“We cannot afford to relax at this stage but keep on training to keep the players in shape and ready for Mighty Wanderers. We are training twice a day,” said Silver Strikers treasurer Fred Kalonga in an interview on Tuesday.
He said they are planning to travel either to Mchinji or Kasungu this week for friendly matches.
“We have proposed friendly game against Kasungu Police, Mchinji Ranks and Airborne Rangers. Depending on the responses from the teams, we will either travel to Kasungu, Salima or Mchinji. It is not enough just to train, we have to play games as well,” he said.
Sulom Appeals Committee is expected to rule on the banning of the two teams by the Sulom Disciplinary Committee.
In a related development, Sulom president Innocent Bottoman has hailed Wanderers and Silver for taking their appeal through the normal channel.
“We thank them for rescinding their earlier decisions to appeal to FAM instead of following normal procedure. They have acted in a mature manner and in line with the Sulom constitution. It is folly to use emotions when dealing with such serious issues,” said Bottoman.
