Team X1 Entertainment brings ‘Urban Stars’
After months of silence in weekend activities, Lilongwe-based entertainment group Team X1 Entertainment returns this summer with a new brand of entertainment activities to be held everySaturday.
The group brings music and dance event dubbed ‘Urban Stars’ that will feature the cream of urban music and budding artists in music, disc jockeying and dance.
Speaking when breaking the news, chief executive officer (CEO) for the group, Dj Scarpper, said all is set for the Urban Stars event which starts on August 24.
“We always think big about promoting young artists by giving them an opportunity to showcase their skills and interact with established artists. Urban Stars is here to serve the purpose and we will make sure it benefits many,” said DJ Scarpper.
According to the DJ, the event will be held in from 1pm to 6pm at the rebranded Courtyard, behind Lilongwe’s Shoprite in Akulenji Inn premise.
The CEO said apart from unmasking hidden talent, the event will also help the youth relax.
He added that every weekend they will invite one or two established artists to grace the event.
“Our Bikini Pool Party has stalled due to lack of venues and while looking for another venue, we will incorporate the activities to ensure fans for both events are entertained.
The Courtyard has a pool which is under renovation and once it is ready the Bikini Pool Party will resume,” said DJ Scarpper.
According to the CEO, the kick off of the Urban Stars events will also mark the launch of the Courtyard which has been idle for a long time.
Team X1 Entertainment came into the limelight early last year through the Bikini Pool Party. Some of the talents include Joy Fresh and Capital Gal who are currently working on their debut mix-tapes.
