People’s Tribunal

The status quo remains the same

Dear judge Mbadwa,

My lord, whether Mapuya is justified to make all those apparent heir look foolish with the current decision to stand for election at a convention is something that I am not prepared to discuss again. It is what it is in People’s Demagogic Party (PDP).

They have made their bed and let us see how they are going to snore their way onto it. It is the least of my worries really.

It is still the high cost of living that has me worried once again.

And Jonah Kapita and his team of disgruntled consumers continue being overwhelmed by requests to weigh in on the high cost of living.

But does he have the capacity to fight for every citizen, my lord?

As I am speaking, prices of commodities continue to rise under the watch of Tokha are Liars, yet it is business as usual for them.

Water tariffs were hiked beyond the reach of the majority of the urban poor who need it.

But if you asked me, my lord, the rationale behind the water tariff increase is something I fail to fathom, yet we have a regulator in the water sector whose jobs seems to be dancing to the sad tunes of utilities and nothing more. How sad.

And talking about how to deal with crises, Tokha Are Liars flatter to deceive, my lord.

It becomes, therefore, interesting to see authorities who were hired to provide such solutions hiding in the maze of excuses instead of finding answers to the challenges.

If it is not your job to find solutions; who should?

My lord, I have a feeling that somehow we have officers who are abdicating because they are benefiting greatly from the crises.

It does remind me of what I heard during the reign of Mapuya on why the number of people facing hunger in a particular season had to be inflated?

It justified the questionable allocation of billions  for humanitarian efforts, which I hear was diverted.

My lord, it is clear that people in leadership positions have disappointed the masses with their conduct.

I am compelled to repeat what others have said about modern day leaders whose true identity is revealed once they are given a modicum of privilege through power.

I am looking for a new generation of altruistic leaders across the section of society and not the get-rich-quick type that are ready to sell the soul of the nation to the highest bidder.

Does this note sound cryptic my lord?

Sometimes there is much clarity in obscurity when speaking these things.

The citizens deserve better,

Regards,

John Citizen.
