Two nabbed in Mukadam murder
Police in Limbe have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of Blantyre businessperson Zainuddin Mukadam.
Southern Region Police spokesperson Nicholas Gondwa confirmed the arrests, but could not divulge more details for fear of jeopardising further investigations which he said are at an advanced stage.
“So far, we are keeping in custody two suspects arrested in connection with the Mukadam case. However, we are undertaking further investigations which are already at an advanced stage to bring other suspects in the case to book, so we cannot release their identities for fear of jeopardising current investigations,” Gondwa said.
Mukadam(74) went missing last Tuesday as he was going to the mosque for evening prayers. The following day, his body was found in his car which was abandoned near the Assemblies of God church in Kanjedza.
