Unicaf, trainingcentre sign MoU

Unicaf University last week signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Zomba Vocational Training Centre to provide affordable higher education to students at the centre.

Speaking during the signing ceremony in Blantyre, Unicaf University business development manager for Blantyre campus Khumbo Mhone said they are impressed with the work that Zomba Vocational Training Centre is doing to promote higher education.

She said: “This partnership will offer scholarships to students to upgrade skills as well as continue to work towards a better Malawi within the activities of the centre is doing.

“Under this MoU, we will be offering scholarship opportunities of up to 85 percent to students and academics. Additionally, those who wish to study at Unicaf University will be eligible for an additional 10 percent scholarship under the terms of the MoU. ”

The training centre’s programmes manager Jones Chikwawa said the MoU will assist graduating students to further their studies with universities linked with Unicaf.
