Mphepo: We want to make it fun for lovers

It’s Valentine season once again. The sky is once again filled with love as lovers contemplate how to celebrate this year’s valentine.

With the 50-year anniversary in mind, this year’s Valentine’s Day comes in a special way, which merits profiling for posterity.

However, to achieve this, the place to be matters most as does the person to spend the day with, and one can hardly ignore the mouth-watering offer from Sunbird Tourism Limited.

The hotel has lined up several special events for lovers at its hotels and resorts.

Heavy expenditure that characterises life during the festive season are enough to scare a prospective dinner with a lover, but worry not, that has been taken care of according to a price list issued by the hotel chain.

“We want to make it big and fun for lovers. We have Valentine’s events at all our hotels and resorts and we are offering low prizes for our services to ensure customers can afford,” said Sunbird Tourism Limited public relations officer Akossa Mphepo.

Apart from the promotional rates which run from January to February 28, the hotel has other rates to be used on February 14 only.

Sunbird Capital’s Tidye Restaurant gets the mood going with a promotion that will run between 7pm and 11pm at only K3 500 per person.

KuChawe Inn in Zomba and Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi will host the patrons from 7pm to midnight at K12 000 for dinner per couple and K65 000 for double bed, dinner and breakfast for two.

K16 000 will be enough to dine at Mount Soche with a dinner party dubbed the Moonlight Valentine’s Dinner where patrons will be treated to a moonlight buffet dinner and cocktail and a music performance by Fuggie Kasipa.

Fun-starved city of Mzuzu will have Dinner and Dance on Valentine’s Day at only K15 000 per couple and K8 000 single.

The best dressed couple will stand a chance to prizes through a raffle draw.

It will be the same at Sunbird Lilongwe where DJ Saxon will thrill the patrons music, but couples will pay K14 000.

Sunbird Livingstonia Beach will be busy on February 15 with a lovers breakfast and luncheon at K12 000 per couple and K55 000 for special accommodation. Sunbird’s Village Band will entertain the fans.
