Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) new sponsors Rach Family Trust have said they will identify a sports management company to facilitate deals in Europe for Malawi Queens’ outstanding players.

The trust’s legal adviser Chipiliro Mpinganjira said they believe that the Queens’ current ranking (sixth) on world stage, “should make it attractive for teams to court the players.”

The United Kingdom-based trust signed a five-year deal with NAM worth K600 million.

Mpinganjira also said the partnership, among other things, will see the trust constructing a modern in-door netball court as per NAM’s request.

“The finer details of which, will be agreed soon,” he said.

Mpinganjira also said the trust plans to introduce a national league soon.

The trust’s chairperson Ravi Rach also said the funds will also be used to sponsor the Queens and other developmental activities.

He said as a trust, they were impressed with the Queens’ performance in world tournaments.

“Our hope is that they will reach number one on the rankings.”

Rach Family Trust has since given NAM a K5 million starter-packs which is not part of the deal. n
