Queens coach eyes top 4 finish
Malawi Queens coach Griffin ‘Zagallo’ Saenda is relishing the opportunity of a top four finish at the Fast5 World Netball Series in Melbourne, Australia.
The two-day event, which has attracted six teams, rolls into life on Saturday and will end on Sunday.
“Every coach goes to a tournament hoping to do well and I am very confident of making the top four. Such a target is certainly not beyond the realms of possibility.
“I have faith and confidence in the squad which I have selected for the task. My message to all netball lovers as we depart is that we will not disappoint them,” he said in an interview just before departure on Monday.
The Queens kick-start their campaign against hosts Australia on Saturday afternoon before lining up against England and Jamaica, later on the same day.
On Sunday they will be up against continental rivals South Africa and New Zealand.
