‘Decentralisation crucial for LDF success’

Mzimba district monitoring and evaluation officer, Misheck Fombe, has said access to quality health and education services in the country can be achieved if decentralisation and sound financial management are strengthened at all levels. Fombe made the remarks in an interview with Malawi News Agency (Mana) after touring some projects under Jenda Rural Growth Centre in Mzimba, which are being implemented under the Local Development Fund (LDF). The fund, through Local Economic Development (LED) programme, is implementing 13 sub-projects at Jenda which include school blocks, hospital wards, tomato factory and a telecentre.—Malawi news agency
