308 families get relief items in Salima District

 World Relief has distributed assorted relief items to 308 ultra-poor households from traditional authorities (T/As) Pemba and Ndindi in Salima District.

The donated items included fortified maize flour, cooking oil, salt and soya pieces.

Speaking on Monday during the distribution exercise, Salima District Council disaster risk management officer Gloria Chinangwa said the donation came after World Relief identified the households as ultra-poor and in urgent need of humanitarian support.

“We conducted an assessment together with World Relief to identify  World Relief has distributed assorted relief items to 308 ultra-poor households from traditional authorities (T/As) Pemba and Ndindi in Salima District.

The donated items included fortified maize flour, cooking oil, salt and soya pieces.
