Blacks DVD launch shifted
Chileka-based reggae outfit Black Missionaries have shifted the launch of their Kuimba 10 DVD to October. It was initially scheduled for launch in August.
Expectations have been high for the launch of the DVD version of the album and the announcement should come as a relief for the enthusiastic fans.
“We have been busy with shows, promoting the album and at the same time shooting a DVD. We were initially supposed to launch it this August, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we cannot do that now.
“We are currently waiting for videos of five songs done in South Africa. The producer working on some of those videos was engaged as he went back [to his] home in DRC [Democratic Republic of Congo] for some pressing matters,” said band leader Anjiru Fumulani.
He said seven songs are ready.
“So, we are shifting the launch from August 7 in Lilongwe as well as August 12 in Blantyre and 14 in Mzuzu. Once everything is done, we will announce the new dates. But it will be October,” said Fumulani.
He said venues still remain Civo Stadium in Lilongwe, Robin’s Park in Blantyre and Mzuzu Tourist Lodge in Mzuzu.
