Do you splash money to ‘ma hopu’

I have heard about men who decry a betrayal from a woman they like. Their grievances are basically about women who have ‘eaten’ their money and disappear when a supposed meeting draws close. Many have complained about women demanding transport fare to a meeting point, only to disappear from the radar after a transaction. Efforts to reach them prove futile. Some even claim to reconcile with their exes when the supposed ‘relationship’ heats up.

People, especially women, who feel they ought to depend on men, are trickery masters. They tell man, especially the naïve, what they want to hear. They are never short of the right words to send men crazy and into banking halls to withdraw money to send to their supposed love. These kinds of women will make demands and lead mean on. They know how to disappear when he offers a meeting. They will demand even transport money to get to him or know exactly how to dodge his intended visit.

Please my dear bothers, wake and realise there are con artists out there in the form of beauty. Never forget how Eve fooled Adam into eating the forbidden fruit way before you existed. You are never too smart, rich or crooked to outsmart these women. They will rob you from your living room and entice you with all sorts of promises.

Never assume anything until something concrete shows. By concrete, I mean physical interactions and agreements. Know each other’s personal details, traditional authorities, villages, senior chiefs, residence, siblings, etc before committing your wallets and hearts to scammers.

Men are still crying over their transport money and how they were made to wait indefinitely for their lover who stopped picking their calls on the agreed date of blocked their number. Many are crying over the expensive jewelry, vehicles, clothes, phones and rentals their paid to someone who never loved them. Some have even dealt with fellow men disguised as women.

I would suggest the old fashioned way of courtship. Boy meets girl and they continue meeting at public places to get to know each other. Physical meetings are the only sure way to interact and know the person you are dealing with. Social media can sell you a dummy. And with the artificial intelligence technology, anything is possible.

Stop spending on people you do not know or have not met. This trend ought to stop. Technology has been around long enough to alert us to scammers. I have talked about women, but similar traits of man exist. Ask yourselves what exactly you are falling in love with when you have not met or interacted as human beings
