Nomads start 2nd round with win

Mighty Wanderers yesterday scaled back to the top of the TNM Super League following their 1-0 victory over Mafco FC at Champions Stadium in Mponela, Dowa.

The Nomads were dislodged from the summit of the table on Saturday albeit temporarily by their arch-rivals FCB Nyasa Bullets, who beat Chitipa United 2-0.

It was the Nomads’ second victory over the Salima-based Malawi Defence Force side within a week after booting them out of the FDH Bank Cup with a 3-1 win at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
