Renowned Nigerian gospel musician Ada Ogochukwu Ehi, also known as Ada Ehi, will on May 31perform at Favour Gospel Concert at Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe.
Organised by gospel musician Wendy Harawa under Jacob Events, the concert is about ministering to people using music.
Harawa said Ada Ehi will perform alongside other local artists.
“This year, we are bringing Ada Ehi as our headliner for the concert. We want people to be blessed with the ministry in music,” she said.
Harawa, who is Jacob Events chief executive officer, said they want to use the concert to share the word of God and allow people to worship together and enjoy praise music.
“Gospel music lovers should expect a night to remember and time to worship God. There will be uplifting music and inspiring testimonies,” she said.
Harawa added that preparation are going on well as that the team will announce ticket sales for the event soon and artists who will perform on the day.
The Favour hit maker has brought various musicians in the country, including Travis Greene from United States of America and South African musician Rebecca Malope.
A gospel music fan, Madalitso Ndovie expressed excitement with Ehi’s performance in the country for the first time.
“This is what I have been waiting for. It will be good to see Ada Ehi perform in our country. We need more gospel international artists here,” he said on Facebook post.
A singer and sognwriter, Ada Ehi launched her music career in 2009 under Loveworld Records and has increasingly gained local and international popularity through her songs and music videos.
She is well known for songs such as congratulations, I Overcame and I testify.
