Advancing sustainable business development

Malawi’s entrepreneurial landscape is evolving rapidly, driven by a wave of innovation and competitive ventures that are reshaping the country’s development narrative. Among these rising enterprises is Evolve Marketing Consultancy—a dynamic firm making strides both locally and internationally.

Founded by Stewart Elvis Munthali, Evolve Marketing Consultancy is a marketing and development company committed to advancing sustainable development through strategic marketing solutions, impactful partnerships, and tailored consulting services.

The company’s core offerings include content marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, and search engine marketing. Beyond digital services, Evolve also operates in borehole drilling and pump installation under its Nkhamanga Division, agro-trading (import and export), and business registration and documentation—including proposal and business plan development.

“We focus on these strategic areas because they are essential in bridging economic and social development gaps, especially between rural and urban sectors,” Munthali explained.

Headquartered in Lilongwe, with a branch office in Namiwawa, Blantyre, Evolve Marketing Consultancy has expanded its footprint internationally, with operations in Israel, Tanzania, and the United States.

Munthali said the company was born out of a desire to connect farmers to markets and close the divide between rural and urban communities in business and marketing.

“We’re also committed to financial and marketing empowerment, especially for startups. Our mission is to empower Malawians by delivering competitive business solutions, creating job opportunities, and fostering skills development,” he said.

Although established in 2020, Evolve officially launched operations in 2022 while Munthali was completing his final year at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR).

“In 2023, while studying abroad in Israel under a cross-border programme, I formalised and expanded the company,” he recalled. “My inspiration came from my middle-class upbringing and the desire to become someone my family and community could look up to. I’ve always wanted to uplift the poor and empower others through business. I also drew inspiration from the late Lucius Banda, who stood for impact and service.”

Among the company’s notable achievements is its work with over 400 clients and the provision of clean water to more than 1,000 households through its borehole services.

“Our greatest success has been exceeding expectations. We now operate multiple branches, employ over 20 staff, and have a dedicated board of directors,” Munthali said. “Supporting startups and watching them grow has been one of our proudest accomplishments.”

Munthali attributes the company’s success to its commitment to transparency and impact.

“We’re a transparent, impact-driven company. We ensure clients get exactly what they need and uphold integrity in all our dealings. As a faith-based organisation, we also donate 10% of our profits to support the poor—reflecting our commitment to giving back.”
