Atupele endorses National Youth Manifesto
United Democratic Front (UDF) president Atupele Muluzi has endorsed the National Youth Manifesto as part of his commitment to address challenges the youth face if he is voted into government.
The manifesto, developed by the Youth Decide Campaign, covers the period from 2025 to 2030 and candidates in the presidential elections have been called to adopt the manifesto.

Muluzi, one of the presidential candidates in the September 16 2025 General Elections, endorsed the youth manifesto in Lilongwe on Thursday during a presidential youth dialogue organised by Youth and Society (YAS) in collaboration with Youth Decide Campaign and Zodiak Broadcasting Station.
He is the third presidential candidate to endorse the manifesto after Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President Lazarus Chakwera and People’s Party president Joyce Banda.
In his remarks, Muluzi said the UDF administration will address the needs of young people and
the country in general, adding that they will revamp the economy, fight corruption, and promote innovations to help empower young people.
Youth Decide Campaign coordinator Mwandida Theu said the endorsement is not just symbolic but a strategic commitment to youth-centered governance.
YAS executive director Charles Kajoloweka said the youth expect other candidates to take part in the presidential youth dialogues so that they engage directly with them regarding what plans they have to address issues that young people face.
