Author Nthanda Manduwi takes book launch to Unga
Author Nthanda Manduwi says she will launch her new book, Feminine Silence, at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (Unga) in New York, United States.
The 80th session of the assembly, scheduled to take place from September 22 to 26 will be held under theme, ‘Better Together: 80 Years and More for Peace, Development and Human Rights’.
“I am planning the launch event for Feminine Silence at the perimeters of the 80th United Nations [UN] Assembly, which I am attending as a delegate at the invitation of the United Nations Youth Office,” said Manduwi, who is also a feminist.

Feminine Silence is Manduwi’s second book which has already been released online. It can be found on Amazon for purchase.
The book challenges feminists and advocate for men’s involvement in the feminism movement.
“Basically, this book examines what happens after empowerment — when women finally enter rooms of influence, only to find sharp edges still beneath their feet. And critically, it asks: what does shared power look like?
“It’s not about replacing men at the table; it’s about rewriting the table’s design so that men and women can lead together,” she said.
