Bullets players celebrate a goal in a previous match

“We are playing a team that has done everything they could to reach this far and underrating them would be a serious mistake. We need to exercise caution,” he said

Bullets team manager James Chilapondwa yesterday expressed hope of securing the quarter-final spot.

“We are much focused on the upcoming fixtures let alone today’s game as winning the game will book us a place into the quarter-finals and boost our hopes to challenge for the cup,” Chilapondwa said.

He appealed to the supporters to come to the stadium in large numbers to cheer up the team.

Bullets got a timely boost yesterday when they were joined by their national team players.

On his part, the Ntcheu-based team’s coach Governor Chalika said while they appreciate their underdog status, they are prepared to give Bullets a good run for their money.

He said: “This is an important match to us as people will be eager to see us playing against one of the biggest teams. The good thing is that most of our players have been playing around Dedza and they are familiar with the stadium,” he said.

The winner of the match will face Chitipa United in the quarter-finals.

The other fixtures in the quarterfinals are; Kamuzu Barracks will face Silver Strikers, Airborne Rangers versus Be Forward Wanderers, Blue Eagles will take on Moyale Barracks.
