Blantyre United have said Silver Strikers stand a good chance of signing their two players Victor Limbani and Tizgobere Kumwenda, currently loaned to Big Bullets.

United technical director Lawson Nakoma said: “As things stand, I would say Silver stand a better chance than Bullets because in principle we have agreed on the transfer fee and they are ready to pay us.

“But we have asked them to hold on because we would also want the players’ reaction and also get Bullets’ offer. We also made an offer to Bullets, but they are yet to come back with a concrete response.”

While Blantyre United kept a tight lid on the offer for the two players, The Nation has established that they want K6 million for the two players.

Nakoma also said Limbani and Kumwenda’s loan deals at Bullets have been extended until the end of the CAF Champions League.

“I think it will only be fair that for the time being, the players’ focus should be on the CAF competition. We would not want to distract either them or Bullets,” he said.

However, Nakoma also claimed that Be Forward Wanderers have enquired about the two players.

“There is nothing concrete as at now, but Wanderers also enquired about Victor, Tizgo and Muhammad Sulumba.”

Nakoma said apart from Limbani and Kumwenda, Silver are also on the verge of signing Abraham Kamwendo and Osward Maonga.

Silver chairperson McDonald Mafuta-Mwale confirmed agreeing on transfer fees with United.

“We are just waiting for them to complete the CAF tournament with Bullets to complete the deals, but we are surely signing them,” said Mafuta-Mwale.
