All songs have been written by Born Afrikan except the parts played by the featured artists.

“85 percent of the music is modern roots reggae, a bit of RnB, rock feel and hip hop. It has been recorded in Jamaica by the Fire House Crew, the same band that has worked with one of Jamaica’s top reggae artist Sizzla Kalonji,” he explained.

“The thing is I am working on two projects with different production houses the other one is Tabbath production. With them, we will decide then when everything is completed.

“Whether to bring both albums out at the same time which is what I personally want because people are dying to get my music and also I’ve too much unreleased material which needs to come out,” he said.

The second album is a remake of his previous project, The Past Present & The Future.

Said Afrikan: “It was released in 2008, but we were not happy with certain things so we decided to redo the whole project altogether also in Jamaica and we have added some two new songs. The first time the album had 13 songs.

“One song Ndapeza Kadona is already a hit amongst Malawians this side who attend my shows. If you know someone this side especially in Jo’burg ask them if they have been to my club, Khoisan Lounge where I normally perform they will tell you.”
