Bullets admit Salima’s departure will be felt
FCB Nyasa Bullets have admitted that the prospective departure of their talisman Chikumbutso Salima will affect the team’s fire-power.
The People’s Team announced yesterday that they have reached an agreement with Sudanese giants Al Merrikh SC to sign the player.

The development comes days after the departure of Bullets’ marksman Babatunde Adepoju to his South African second-tier side Venda FC following the expiry of his loan deal.
Bullets acting chief executive officer Albert Chigoga in an interview yesterday said: “The departure of Babatunde and Chiku leaves a huge void in the squad. But we have a strategy to fill the gap.”
In a statement released yesterday Bullets hailed Salima for his contribution.
“We thank Chikumbutso for his incredible contributions to Bullets and wish him continuous success at Al Merrikh SC,” reads the statement.
Coincidentally, Salima and Adepoju were 2025 TNM Super League joint top scorers with 15 goals apiece.
To spice it up, Salima also topped the assists’ list with 13.
He made 69 appearances for the record 17-time champions, scoring 29 goals.
Bullets could not be drawn to disclose how much the Sudanese outfit, which regularly competes in the CAF Champions League, has paid for the player.
