Bullets spend K2.5m on team bus repairs
FCB Nyasa Bullets say they spent K2.5 million to repair their team bus which was smashed by their suspected fans after the club’s recent TNM Super League match against Karonga United at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
The bus was attacked after the People Team gave away a 3-1 lead in the last 12 minutes of the match to draw three-all.

Six windows, including the windscreen were smashed. There were also other minor damages to the panels according to an initial assessment.
Bullets acting chief executive officer Albert Chigoga said they had to repair the bus in time for their trip to Chitipa where they faced Chilumba Barracks in the FDH Bank round of 32 yesterday.
He said: “It is unfortunate that this money, which could have gone towards the operations of the team, had to be diverted towards the cost of the repairs.
“We did not expect the fans to express their anger in the manner they did. It was very disturbing.”
Chigoga said the investigations are ongoing to apprehend those that were involved in the ugly scenes.
The club’s main supporters committee chairperson Stone Mwamadi said those that were responsible “should feel ashamed of their acts”.
He said: “I do not think they are fans who really love the team because genuine supporters cannot do that.
“It was unacceptable and it cannot be tolerated. As I said earlier on, one thing they need to bear in mind is that sponsors and owners of the team don’t like to be associated with acts of violence and hooliganism.”
