Bullets visit Qech’s Children’s Ward today

Barely two days after officially being crowned TNM Super League champions, Nyasa Big Bullets, will cheer patients at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (Qech) Chidren’s Ward today as part of Christmas festivities.

Bullets chief executive officer Fleetwood Haiya said the team decided to cheer the children to motivate them to become the best they can be.

Haiya: We want to inspire them

“We are visiting Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital Children’s Ward on December 26 2019. Then we will rest and regroup next year.

“We chose the Children’s Ward to inspire them that they can be what they want to be, including being a professional footballer,” he said.

Bullets supporters director Stone Mwamadi applauded the People’s Team board of directors for deciding that the players should visit the sick children before going for off season recess.

“It’s a good thing as TNM Super League champions, we need to share with our friends who are in pain because of illness.

“The supporters will join the players and directors in cheering the children during this Christmas festivities,” he said.

Mwamadi said the team would offer the children gifts but declined to state how much they have spared for them.

“We will definitely offer them something but it’s not morally correct to indicate what we will offer them,” he said.
