Churches Action in Relief Development (Card) project assistant Veronica Thesi says solar-powered irrigation systems are crucial to boost crop harvests and agri-business.

She said this on Tuesday at Phimbi in Utale Extension Planning Area in Balaka District where about 1 200 farmers grow various crops in Chingere Irrigation Scheme.
