Navaya: Some churches ignore procedures

Church of the Central African Presbyterian (CCAP) says it wants prayer uniformity by all its congregations to harmonise practices that govern its activities

Blantyre Synod of the CCAP vice moderator the Reverend Edina Navaya spoke last Saturday when she addressed some members at an orientation workshop to empower new church leaders on their roles and responsibilities.

She noted there was a lack of uniformity among CCAP congregations, with some not following laid down procedures for conducting prayers.

“The synod wants all congregations within our jurisdiction to follow one procedure of conducting prayers. We need to harmonise, for instance, on how to deal with a girl who has been impregnated and dies before she is heard,” she explained.
