Cezobal play-offs on this weekend
The Central Zone Basketball League (Cezobal) play-off games are scheduled to start tomorrow (Saturday).
Cezobal general secretary Khama Mphepo said the play-offs will be played on the best of the three series and all the star players, including Daud Suleman, have confirmed to feature for their teams.
“Daud Suleman, who is arguably one of the best players in Malawi and Madano Tepheteya, one of the best coaches, will lead Mimbulu against Paul Chinchen and his ABC Lions.
“This year’s play-offs will also include lady teams and it will be real fun,” said Mphepo.
The best three teams will represent the Central Region in national play-offs to take place later this year.
Tomorrow, popular DJs will spice up the show throughout the day and Mphepo says this will be a good outing for families.
The teams that will be fighting for honours include ABC Lions, Cougars, Blazers and Mimbulu in men’s category and Capital Clippers, Lady Dynamites, ABC Ladies and Blue Eagles in the women’s section.
