Chavula to join local team

Flames stand-in captain Moses ‘Luba’ Chavula has hinted on prospects of joining a local club.

However, the tough-as-a-teak Flames left back has said it is not automatic that he will rejoin his former club Mighty Wanderers.

“I am still waiting to hear from my manager who is talking to some foreign clubs, but the indications are that I might join a local team for a short-term. My manager tells me that there could be opportunities in December, which means I might as well seriously consider joining a local team for now,” said Chavula.

Asked if he intends to rejoin Wanderers, Chavula said: “It is not automatic that I might rejoin Wanderers. I will have to weigh the options that might come up, but, as I said, I am still waiting to hear from my manager who is based in South Africa.”

Chavula agreed to a mutual termination of his contract with South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) club AmaZulu towards the end of last season due to lack of game time.
