Coca-Cola Malawi dresses DD Sunshine
Coca-Cola Malawi yesterday donated T-shirts and caps to DD Sunshine who are bound for South Africa’s invitational eight-team five-day tournament from November 2 in Pretoria.
Coca-Cola senior brands manager (non-alcoholics) Titha Mbilizi presented a set each of 26 Coca-Cola-branded T-shirts and caps to the Lilongwe side through FAM technical director John Kaputa in Blantyre.
“This support gives us an opportunity to support active life styles and part of the billion reasons to believe Africa. We wish the team good luck and thank you for choosing our brand to be associated with women football development,” Mbilizi said at the company’s Makata head office.
Accepting the donation, Kaputa, who approached Coca-Cola on Sunshine’s behalf, said his office would ensure that women football development receives support.
Pretoria side Juice Burn Ladies will host Sunshine. DD Sunshine director David Dube said the trip was still on despite that they have a 50 percent shortfall of the 25-member travelling team’s bus fare expenses pegged at K1 250 000.
