Blues Eagles coach De Klerk Msakakuona has demanded consistency from his charges after a flawless performance sunk Masters Security 4-0 at Nankhaka ground on Tuesday.

Goals from Philip Masiye, Alexander Chigawa and John Malidadi Junior’s brace ensured their second victory in five games.

The cops started the campaign with a convincing 4-1 victory over TN Masters, before losing to Civil Sporting Club and Moyale Barracks and drawing with Mzuni FC.

In a post match interview, Msakakuona said they still harbour title hopes despite dropping eight points already.

He said: “What we need is consistency. I believe we can build on this win and record four victories in a row if we are to catch up.”

Msakakuona said their key challenge was to build coordination since they had brought in new players during off season.

“But from the game against Masters I have seen much improvement. I just hope we can sustain this for a long time,” he said.

Masters have one point from four games and their caretaker coach Lighton Mangani blamed injuries for their poor start to the season.

The injured include workaholic midfielder Eneya Banda.

“It has been a difficult start to our season. The losses are largely down to injuries. However, we need to forget those problems and step up. If we can’t do that we will be in big trouble,” he said. n
