Evangelical Lutheran Church in Malawi (ELCM) last week ordained two pastors at its Zaone church in Zomba.
The two pastors were Daniel Masiye and Witness Suwedi. Their ordination was presided over by Bishop Dr Joseph Bvumbwe.
Delivering his speech, Bvumbwe said he was happy that God had added two ministers to help spread His word.
“God will judge us according to our performance. Our role is to tell people what to do because in this era we emphasize on rights, but rights have their responsibilities,” he said.
Bvumbwe reminded the two pastors that what they were commissioned to do is a calling, not work.
“You are now soldiers of Christ and I urge you to work hard and may God bless you during your challenging time,” he said.
Bvumbwe, who preached from Ezekiel 37:1-8, disclosed that the church also ordained two pastors in Karonga.
