Living Word Evangelistic Church on Monday said bye to 2012 and welcomed 2013 with a candlelight ceremony, symbolising hope for Malawi.
Prophet David Mbewe prayed for the congregation at Great Hall in Zomba during the countdown.
“Let us pray for our country because I can see hope in 2013. Let us lift up our candles and pray for the President, her Cabinet and all Malawians so that the country prospers in 2013,” said Mbewe.
