Evicted Big Brother Africa (BBA) The Chase housemate Fatima Nkata has said there is an element of politics in every person and the difference is only at how one chooses to do the politics.

Fatima said this in an interview over the weekend when asked on what has prompted her to join politics.

“We are all politicians, but the difference is on how we play the politics game. I have been a politician but it is my joining PP that makes me a different politician, exposed to the public. The world of politics has always fascinated me from the time I was very young. I would always jump at the opportunity of tagging along with my mother’s sister the late Nyandovi Kerr as she went about her political work.

“The seed was planted then and over the years, I have observed with keen interest the evolving political landscape in our country and for me, there could be no better time to take an active role than now,” said the former housemate.

Fatima dispelled stories that her decision is linked to fellow housemate Natasha Tonthola’s political interests. She added that she wanted to join politics silently, but was asked to follow the normal procedure which involves unveiling new members at a public political function.

She added that she has joined People’s Party (PP) for enough reasons spurring beyond just interest to join politics. She said she has joined PP because it is a party that speaks for her—a party of the people—by the people—and for the people built on the three cornerstones of unity, equity and development.

Fatima said today’s youth are highly opinionated and are the ones that complain most when things are not going according to their wishes.

Fatima, says she has no intention to contest as a Member of Parliament (MP).
