Fedoma honours NPL

Federation of Disability Organisations in Malawi (Fedoma) has awarded Nation Publications Limited (NPL) as media house of the year. NPL was honoured during this year’s International Day of People Living with Disabilities commemoration in Mzuzu on Thursday where several individuals also won awards. Minister of Gender, Children, Disability and Social Welfare Patricia Kaliati, who presented the award to NPL Mzuzu bureau manager Ausward Kibombwe, applauded NPL for covering disability issues. She urged NPL to continue covering issues that will promote rights of people with disabilities. Fedoma board chairperson Towera Masiku said NPL was awarded for exposing the plight of people with disabilities. In the picture, Kaliati presents the award to Kibombwe.—
